We are AFS
Integrity
Our Inspectors provide a range of SBT, MJI, FHA, Inst & Control integrity services to the energy industry globally.
North Sea FPSO
Management of Hydrocarbon Releases from SBT
Challenge: Inspection data indicated a large number of leaks and Seeps on Small Bore Tubing assemblies.
Approach: AFS Technologies worked with the operator as part of an integrated team using our online portal, aligned to SAP data, to prioritise and plan remedial action over time. This process formed the basis of the Energy Institute Guidelines for the design, installation and management of small bore tubing assemblies.
Result: Anomaly rate in ongoing inspections fell from over 25% to less than 1%.

West African Gas Plant
A West African gas plant reduces emissions from Instrumentation assemblies
Challenge: A West African gas plant had numerous losses of containment through small bore tubing assemblies.
Approach: AFS Technologies were invited to provide an integrated approach involving inspection, analysis, remedial works and personnel training over a three year contract. Each train was inspected and repaired during the three yearly shutdown.
Result: On the first process train, over 4000 anomalies were identified and repaired in a 40 day period. All data was managed using our EX-rated computer pads and reported live on our customer web portal.
New project integrity assurance
New project ensures safe and leak free hydrocarbon instrumentation assemblies before first gas
Challenge: A new offshore platform was fabricated in Asia and the operator was concerned with the workforce competence in the installation of SBT assemblies.
Approach: AFS mobilised a team prior to and before the project was commissioned. The team worked alongside the construction contractor to record inspections and verify the remedial work scopes using our handheld android app and reporting web portal. The portal also generated the SBT register for the asset.
Result: Our team found and managed the repair of over 1300 components on Hydrocarbon lines prior to first gas production.
